"Arctic Inside" - дебютный альбом замечательной шведской мелодик-дэт метал группы System Shock. По мне, так это один из лучших альбомов в мелодик-дэте вообще.
Альбом вобрал в себя лучшие качества данного стиля. Здесь вам и классный гроулинг, и качественные гитарные пассажи, и хорошая работа ударника. Музыка слушается на одном дыхании, так что не хочется переключать на что-либо другое.
Что же можно выделить? "Fading Star", на мой взгляд, очень красивая песня. Клавишные там играют главную роль, создают атмосферу, подобную той, что изображает тематика альбома (словно ты посередине Арктики или Антарктиды). Даже холод пробирает...
"Cult of Orion" - достаточно мощная композиция, клавишные опять на высоте, а ударник выносит крышу. Еще стоит отметить "Arctic Circle" и "Moonlight", достаточно торжественные вещи, немного медленные, но не менее очаровательные.
В итоге получаем, что называется, must have. Если вам по душе жесткость+атмосферность, то "Arctic Inside" - идеальный выбор. По мне, такие альбомы выпускаются раз за десятилетия. Конечно, могут говорить о копировании с идеалов (с In Flames, например), о плагиате, о другом мнении. Но я считаю этот альбом отличным представителем в жанре экстремальной музыки. |

System Shock играют безобидный, красивый мелодик-дэт шведской школы. Здесь чувствуется влияние Dark Tranquility, At the Gates и ранних In Flames. Элементы звучания вышеназванных коллективов были собраны воедино и разбавлены неповторимой меланхолической атмосферой, в результате чего получилась очень яркая смесь. Техничные гитары, которые выдают невероятные по своей красоте и мелодичности риффы, идеально сочетаются с немного меланхоличными клавишными, и вместе они создают непревзойденную атмосферу холода и печали. Все композиции очень мелодичны и красивы, в каждой из них можно найти что-то особенное и неповторимое. Но больше всего мне понравились эпические "Orbital" и "Bleed It Off", в которых основной упор делается на игру гитар. Вокал, как гроул, так и чистый, тоже очень порадовал. Он получился очень чувственным и эмоциональным. На "Arctic Inside" преобладает грустное, местами депрессивное настроение, что добавляет красоты музыке. Единственное, что огорчило, так это сырое звучание, не доведенное до идеала. Оно несколько ухудшает общее впечатление от альбома, но не сильно отражается на его хитовости и оригинальности. |
