 В 1992 году в составе Count Raven происходят перемены – их вокалист, Christian Linderson покидает группу, чтобы присоединится к Saint Vitus, и из квартета шведы превращаются в трио, а роль вокалиста берет на себя гитарист Dan Fondelius. В отличии от Кристиана, голос Дэна еще больше похож на Оззи как интонациями, так и манерой исполнения, посему сравнения с Black Sabbath неминуемы. Странное дело, но замена вокалиста повлияла на группу положительно – голос Дэна лучше подходит команде, выросло и качество самого материала, риффы стали интереснее, жестче и одновременно с тем красивее. Сильная, 8 минутная “Until Death Do Us Part” с жесткими началом уступает место спокойной 4 минутной “Lippies Triumph”, та в свою очередь сменяется довольно шустрой, с ураганным гитарным соло, одноименной альбому “Destruction Of The Void”, и еще одним быстрым боевиком “Let The Dead Bury The Dead” – в итоге 20 минут пролетают на одном дыхании и ты получаешь массу положительных эмоций. Но странное дело, не столько в этих вещах напрашивались для меня сравнения с Black Sabbath, сколько с Lake Of Tears времен Headstones, ведь поменяй вокал Дэна на Даниэля и вот оно – сходство почти такое же, как и у Count Raven с Black Sabbath. С той лишь разницей, что Destruction Of The Void увидел свет на 3 года раньше Headstones. Но хватит о Lake Of Tears. Спокойная и задумчивая инструменталка “Northern Light” меняет течение всего альбома, подводя к первой, по настоящему неотличимой от Black Sabbath вещи “Leaving Warzone” – достойный вариант проверить знакомого фаната Ozzy, хорошо ли он знает творчество любимца Проверять можно долго, ведь до конца альбома идет практически нереализованный материал Black Sabbath, затерявшийся на полках BBC или Vertigo. Поразительное сходство, которое подарит всем фэнам старого саббат немало приятных минут – сделано все на высшем уровне! Ремастированное издание дополнено 12 страничным буклетом и двумя бонус треками со второго демо “ Indugnus Famulus”. Если Вы любите классический doom и по каким-то причинам не знакомы с Count Raven самое время наверстать упущенное! (Диск предоставлен компанией Irond) |
